Lead Quality Assurance Specialist

 To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Solid experience of Agile practices
  • Excellent understanding of non-functional requirements, test analysis, software engineering principles and continued improvement methods
  • Solid working knowledge of the following :
    • Writing test scripts
    • Automated testing - Selenium, SoapUI or any equivalent front-end browser based testing framework
    • Unit testing
    • 3rd Party integration testing
    • Testing experience gained in a Java development environment
  • Test data requirements
  • Understanding scope and limitations of different test types
  • Defect management and triage process
  • Understanding the benefits and differences between UI/API/Integration and Unit testing
You'll have a good understanding of the following testing approaches:
  • Test data creation and management strategies
  • Manual testing
  • Automated testing
  • Load/Soak/Performance testing
  • Usability testing
  • Security testing
  • Operational testing (Stability/Backup and Recovery/DR)
  • Cross Browser testing


About The Role

Working collaboratively as part of a small DEVOPS team, you will have the opportunity to plan, lead and implement automated testing solutions for nominated in-house developed applications. 
You will provide expertise across the full spectrum of testing activities, along with other members of the Quality Assurance team including triaging and managing of defects.
 
You will provide second line support of internally developed core Authority systems.
