About The RoleWhat You’ll Be DoingLeading the Contracts team and working with service providers and subject matter experts to deliver robust, cost-effective programmes that protect people and the environment.Driving performance, efficiency, and innovation in long-term service contracts, with a strong focus on health, safety, wellbeing, and environmental compliance.Shaping strategic plans that address climate change, sustainability, mine water heat, water scarcity, and key government policy.Collaborating with project delivery teams to develop new assets and refurbish existing ones, ensuring alignment with our corporate risk appetite.Leading responses to environmental incidents, managing investigations and reputational risks.Building networks with senior stakeholders, including regulators and strategic partners.Providing regular updates to the Executive team, committees, and Board on objectives, risks, and performance.Championing continuous improvement and forward strategy as part of the Environment Directorate’s senior leadership team.We don’t expect candidates to meet every single desired qualification.
