Principal Data Manager

About You

You will :
Be experienced in building relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver data models, projects or programmes. 
Be skilled in building cross organisational relationships, working with others  and communicating the importance of data assets. 
 
Be comfortable with developing and delivering data and information related projects and programmes of work which deliver benefits for our customers. 
 
 Above all you will act as a focal point for organisational data management, helping to shape the long term strategy for our data and information.

About The Role
As Principal Data Manager you will set the vision for the organisation’s use of data to ensure that it is managed properly and shared appropriately to meet the organisation’s needs.
You will:

  • Proactively promote and champion understanding of the value, importance and current and future use of the Authority’s data assets within the organisation, among its stakeholders and with its customers;
  • Lead, design, and direct the upgrade, management, decommission and archive of data;
  • Lead the development and delivery of the data improvement programme;
