Mobile Electrical Engineer – FM Service Provider – Government Buildings – Bath & Surrounding Areas – Up to £46,000 + Package

Exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider operating across government buildings in the Bath area and surrounding locations.

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer to deliver both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of sites.

The successful candidate will be electrically qualified with a strong background in commercial building maintenance and a good understanding of mechanical and general building services.

Hours of Work:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday (core hours)
  • Call-out / standby rota required

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across government buildings
  • Perform electrical maintenance including lighting installations, fault finding, lamping, and ballast changes
  • Conduct emergency lighting testing and ensure compliance
  • Maintain and monitor control panels and power distribution systems
  • Monitor and operate BMS systems (hot & cold checks)
  • Maintain pumps, motors, and associated plant equipment
  • Undertake basic plumbing works including unblocking toilets
  • Maintain and update logbooks, compliance records, and job sheets
  • Manage workload and prioritise tasks within contract requirements
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-skilled team to achieve service delivery targets
  • Participate in standby rota and respond to emergency call-outs when required
  • Provide technical input and support for minor project works and pricing

Package:
  • Salary: Up to £46,000 per annum

Requirements:
  • Electrically qualified – City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 (essential)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
  • Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Multi-skilled across electrical and general building services
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
