CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced General Building Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of repairs, maintenance, and minor construction tasks across multiple sites.

You will ensure buildings are kept in excellent condition, responding to both planned and reactive maintenance requests.

This is a mobile foot opportunity, working on a variety of commercial contracts within Birmingham City Centre.

Package:

• Competitive salary between £32,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) 
• Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)

• Perform general building maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, tiling, and plastering
• Carry out minor electrical repairs (if qualified) and assist with larger repairs
• Conduct routine inspections and address maintenance issues promptly
• Assist with refurbishments and improvement works
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests efficiently and professionally
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and report any major issues

• NVQ Level 2/3 in a relevant trade (advantageous)
• Proven experience in a general building maintenance or multi-trade role
• Skills in plumbing, carpentry, painting, tiling, plastering, and general repairs
• Basic electrical knowledge (preferred but not essential)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills
