Engineering Manager - Newcastle upon Tyne - Global Facilities Management Organisation: Public Sector & Commercial

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Manager on the behalf of our global facilities management client, The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a multi-site, large-scale contract with an annual turnover exceeding £2 million, you’ll lead a talented technical team, delivering outstanding facilities management and commercial services.

This is a site based opportunity, working from the client’s site in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear.

Package:

• Competitive salary between £56,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)

• Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week) 
• Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on call rota (to be confirmed)

• Lead and develop a technical team of professionals across multiple sites
• Manage statutory and reactive maintenance and oversee the CAFM system
• Drive innovative FM projects, improve client relationships, and elevate the student living experience
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and champion best practices in technical services
• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal disruption
• Manage contractors, technical logistics, and health & safety compliance
• Prepare risk assessments and maintain COSHH compliance
• Provide strategic and operational support to stakeholders and management

• Recognised apprenticeship or HNC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• Hands-on expertise in diagnosing and repairing building services, with strong PPM system knowledge (SFG20 preferred)
• Strong communication, organisational, and planning abilities
• Working understanding of Health & Safety legislation and IOSH certification
