Lead Environmental Assessment Specialist

We are seeking a Lead Environmental Assessment Specialist to head the delivery of environmental assessment projects.

In this role, you will develop, deliver, and assess detailed environmental strategies for infrastructure projects, as well as residential and non-residential developments.

You will leverage your expertise in environmental consultancy and assessment to coordinate project delivery, lead service development, and drive business growth across our environmental assessment services.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver environmental assessment projects, focusing on infrastructure (CEEQUAL), residential, and non-residential developments.
  • Coordinate project delivery with junior employees, ensuring high-quality outputs and adherence to client requirements.
  • Manage and lead multi-disciplinary projects, offering innovative strategies and solutions to clients.
  • Drive service development, skill enhancement, and training for the environmental assessment team.
  • Engage in business development activities to expand our environmental assessment services.
  • Collaborate across various company services, learning from and contributing to the broader team.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 6+ years’ experience in environmental assessment and consultancy for residential and non-residential developments AND/OR experience and qualification (license) for CEEQUAL, BREEAM, or Home Quality Mark.
  • Membership or working towards membership in a relevant industry body (e.g., CIBSE, EI, IMechE, IEMA, IEnvSc).
  • Project management experience, ideally in multi-service energy and environmental consultancy projects.
  • Working knowledge of CDM Regulations, the Building Safety Act, and other relevant health and safety requirements for construction projects.
  • Technical leadership and service development experience.
  • Experience in leading a team and/or service leadership.
