Our client is an award-winning integrated communications agency which makes brands more meaningful.

Specialising in renewable energy, they deliver a range of communications services including stakeholder relations, PR and media relations, campaigns and social media.

They have offices in Ipswich and London, operating a hybrid and flexible home/office working pattern, with a team in Scotland too.



The purpose of the role is to carry out most of the day-to-day account execution and administration, reporting to a Senior Account Executive or Account Manager as appropriate.

The successful candidate will be a capable and confident operator who has good understanding of the required basic media and communication skills and to be aware of the tools available to create the required media coverage in all PR areas.

The role will include carrying out all support tasks as directed to execute the strategies and activities as detailed by the line manager and ensure that the accounts worked on are well organised in terms of time and filing.



The ideal PR Account Executive candidate will have experience gained working in an agency environment, a degree-level qualification in PR / Marketing, and a passion for communication and the renewable energy industry.

This role can be based in Ipswich, Edinburgh, or Glasgow. 

Skill Requirements
 

• Be fully responsible for monitoring and mounting coverage, updating coverage logs and providing media reports
• Writing coherent and factually accurate press releases that require minimal amends from seniors and clients
• Ability to draft digital copy including blogs, e-newsletter and short form social media copy requirements that only require minimal amends
• Competent in all written communications, such as letters, emails etc., both internally and externally to clients and journalists
• A good understanding and knowledge of the renewable energy industry
• Play a part in new business brainstorms and an active role in new business targeting
• Liaise with clients at a junior level in a confident manner and build good working relationships
• Undertake media and administration desk research for new business pitches and current client programmes as require
• Flexibility - capable of juggling more than one task/client at the time and prioritising work load accordingly.

• Degree-level qualification in PR / Marketing or equivalent relevant experience
• A completed internship and / or work experience within PR with a minimum of 1 year’s PR experience
• Solid knowledge/keen interest in PR
• Proficient in Word, Excel & PowerPoint & other Microsoft Applications
• Proficient in media database management
• Good understanding of the media landscape & how to place a story
• Awareness of client relationships
