Maintenance Electrician

Maintenance Electrician - Edinburgh - Salary up to £40,000 DOE

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Mobile Maintenance Technician to join a leading facilities company.

This role involves travelling across multiple sites in Edinburgh to carry out a range of electrical services, including planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and compliance checks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver electrical services, planned maintenance, extra works, and emergency procedures in line with statutory and contractual obligations.
• Maintain accurate records, certificates, and compliance documentation, ensuring they are always up to date and stored within the Skanska Management System.
• Undertake fault finding and repairs on a wide variety of electrical systems.
• Use the CAFM system to record and update all tasks, liaising with the helpdesk to meet reporting requirements.
• Ensure health & safety standards are met at all times, with risk assessments and paperwork completed before work begins.
• Carry out inspections and testing of emergency lighting, switchgear, and distribution boards.
• Undertake minor electrical projects, repairs, and work on associated mechanical plant when required.

• SVQ Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installation (SQA/SJIB) or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds NVQ Level 3).
• Completed a recognised apprenticeship in electrical installation.
• City & Guilds 2382 qualification (18th Edition desirable).
• LV AP qualification (desirable).
• Health & Safety certification (IOSH or equivalent).
• Confident in the use of electrical multi-function testers.
