M&E Project Manager – Hard FM Provider – City of London – Up to £70K

One of the UK's most established maintenance service providers is currently looking for a M&E Project Manager to join their team to work on a prestigious portfolio of sites across the City of London.

The M&E Project Manager will initially be looking after projects, including plant replacements, refurbishments, and installations.

The value of the projects will grow over the course of the next year and could rise to around the £2m mark.

The role will involve working closely with, and supported by, the existing engineering team and will be expected to manage the projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scope projects
• Develop and apply appropriate specifications
• Prepare programs
• Identify and assess contractors
• Recommend contractors for appointment
• Chair project meetings
• Liaise with the contract managers
• Plan delivery to minimise impact on day-to-day operations
• Manage team resources
• Deliver projects on time, within quality and budget parameters
• Ensure project compliance
• Manage and control project cost

• Be fully electrically or mechanically qualified to a recognised level
• Have a strong technical understanding of building services engineering systems
• Demonstrate excellent project management skills
• Have previous experience working on projects involving plant replacements
• Have experience within the commercial, built environment
• Have experience managing engineering projects in a similar environment
• Be confident in managing progress reports, people, and stakeholder expectations
• Possess strong communication, influencing, and planning skills
• Have proven experience working on engineering refurbishment projects and managing complex technical constructions in a live environment
• Be fully acquainted with the requirements of the CDM Regulations to ensure all projects are always compliant with Health & Safety legislation
