Shift Emergency lighting Engineer - FM Service Provider - Commercial Estate - Crawley - £47,000 per annum 
Exciting opportunity to work for a leading FM service provider situated in Crawley.

I am currently recruiting for an emergency lighting engineer to be based in a large commercial state.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer with C&G / NVQ level 2 & 3 + AM2 and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

He or she will be required to carry out emergency lighting works as part of a two-man team across this site.

Working with the maintenance team of engineers on site, you will be required have an understanding/hands on experience of the below.

In return the company are offering a competitive salary of £47,000, overtime and career progression.

Hours of work  

2 weeks of days, 1 week of nights....

Monday - Thursday / Tuesday - Friday on rotation  Days and Nights

10 Hour Shift  

07:00am to 17:00pm / 21:00 to 07:00

Key Duties:
  • Install, test, and maintain emergency lighting systems across a large commercial site, ensuring full compliance with BS 5266 and site-specific safety requirements.
  • Perform scheduled inspections, fault finding, and repairs to ensure all systems remain fully operational and legally compliant.
  • Accurately complete maintenance logs, test certificates, and compliance documentation.
  • Support planned upgrades and modifications to lighting infrastructure as part of site-wide improvement projects.
  • Liaise with site management and contractors to coordinate works with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely, adhering to site policies and health & safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Electrically Qualified - You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2&3 
  • AM2
  • Must be able to pass security clearance 
  • A proven track record in commercial maintenance
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Honest, hard working and reliable
