Mechanical Engineer – FM Service Provider – London – Temporary – Immediate Start

CBW is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to carry out maintenance in a commercial building located near Victoria.

This is an ongoing temporary role with the potential to become temp to perm.

The successful candidate must be mechanically qualified with a strong track record in commercial building maintenance.

Please note: This is a one-man site, so the successful engineer must be comfortable working independently and taking full responsibility for the building’s day-to-day maintenance.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Experience working with hot water and heating systems
• Fire alarm and sprinkler testing
• AHUs/FCUs – filter changes, belt changes, actuator changes, coil cleaning
• Pumps – PPMs and strip downs (e.g.
  
  replacing seals, bearings, valves, overhauls)
• Motors – PPMs (e.g.
  
  re-winds, overhauls)
• Water treatment – dipslides, pH & temperature testing
• Water pressurisation units
• Calorifiers – annual inspection, descaling
• Cooling towers
• Boilers – resets
• Chillers – resets and first-line faults
• Basic plumbing – e.g.
  
  unblocking toilets

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 – 17:00
• Ongoing temporary contract (temp to perm)
• £24 per hour

• Mechanically qualified to Level 2 or equivalent
• Proven experience in commercial building maintenance
• Comfortable working independently in a single-man building
• Positive, proactive attitude

• Good communication and client-facing skills
