Solar O&M Project Manager
Summary
Climate17 are working alongside a global renewable energy business who operate and maintain large portfolios of Solar and wind farms across the UK on behalf of third-party owners.
They are currently searching for an O&M Project Manager to join them to lead on repowering projects of solar PV plants from quotation through to implementation, including additional work and FAC punch list items.
Responsibilities
- Manage project program including planning, coordination, reporting, and oversee the technical and material related activities.
- Communicate with customers and assist with delivering relevant information as requested.
- Support in developing PV repowering/revamping offering and establishing standard processes.
- Facilitate interface with central group and business entity functions i.e.
technical LV & HV, marketing, commercial, and purchasing teams. - Support establishing network of suppliers and sub-contractors suitable for the PV repowering/revamping projects.
- Continuously monitor and maintain excellent levels of quality and safety on site.
- Understand client requirements and develop technical proposal (incl.
quotation, tender management) for PV repowering/ revamping projects. - Support additional works from quotation through to implementation, including management of post-FAC and onboarding punch list items.
- Continuously monitor and maintain excellent levels of quality and safety on site.
- Work closely with Project coordinator to ensure project delivery.
- Develop project programs and identify opportunities such as large-scale warranty claims, issues with performance and assets, technology upgrade etc.
- Carry out future revamping design proposals.
Requirements
- Degree in industrial engineering or similar educational background.
- Proven experience in the field of development and realisation of PV systems.
- Profound knowledge of the PV industry and thorough technical understanding, background in EPC / project development is beneficial.
- Working knowledge of CDM regulations advantageous.
- Well experienced in using AutoCAD and other design software packages
- Project management experience, managing construction and/or additional works.
- Strong financial understanding.
- Experience in both ground mount and rooftop installations.
- Good understanding of site H&S requirements.
- 18th Edition Electrical Regulations Qualification, NVQ or City & Guilds in electrical installation would be advantageous.
Location: Flexible - Hybrid working with travel to Milton Keynes and Sites across UK.
