One of the market leaders in the data centre world is currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Supervisor to work at a high profile data centre based in Central London.

The role will be working closely with the Operations Manager on site and will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all engineering activities within the data centre, to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability of critical infrastructure systems.

The main duties of the role are as follows:

  • Lead and supervise a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training and support to ensure they perform their duties effectively.

  • Plan, schedule, and prioritize maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime and maintain uptime SLAs.

  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including facilities management, IT operations, and security to address issues and optimize data centre operations.

  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts for equipment procurement, maintenance services, and technical support.

  • Maintain technical documentation within the data centre including SOPs/EOPs/MOPs, Electrical safety rules and Risk assessments.

  • Participate in capacity planning and expansion projects to support the growth of the data centre infrastructure.

  • Act as a company HVAP.

  • Be available as the 1 st point of escalation for any incidents or issues.

Applicants for the role must be able to meet the following criteria:

  • Fully qualified in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

    (must to be a recognised standard)

  • Experience in data centre operations or a similar IT infrastructure environment.

  • Proven track record of leading and managing technical teams.

  • Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, security, and network systems.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
