Our client is an international Renewable Energy Developer that aims to connect 2GW renewable energy projects over the next 5 years across the UK and Europe.

Focused on solar PV, energy storage, and most recently green hydrogen, the company combines greenfield development with M&A of ready to build projects to boost their impact and optimise investors returns.

The company’s experienced team has developed successfully more than 10GW since 2008 and is currently developing 1,7 GW in Greece and the UK.

Due to successful growth they are now seeking a Project Developer to join their UK-based team.

About the Job
 

• Work with the development team to identify and validate land for large scale solar and storage projects within the UK.
• Assist in the assessing of land from a planning and grid perspective through liaison with DNOs to identify capacity and gauging planning risk based on land designations, land grade, and views onto site.
• Submit grid enquiries, creating a database of information on which land sourcing is based.
• Using online resources to find and contact relevant landowners to book appointments for the land acquisition team
• Create ways to expedite and refine the process of land searching.
• From time to time support site visits and help assess potential suitable sites
• Support the acquisition team with managing landowners’ details, obtaining and filing letters of intent and lease agreements
• Manage and provide administrative support throughout the planning process, tracking project milestones and costs against forecasts.
• Supporting the team with anticipating and mitigating development risk.

• Proven experience in project development within the renewable energy industry
• Degree level qualification or equivalent in engineering, science, or finance, preferably in renewables or land subjects’ specialties.
• Be able to carry out the tasks assigned to you independently.
• Must be willing to travel to sites on a fairly regular basis.
