Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Electrical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Watford, Hertfordshire – Up to £45,000

CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting for an established FM service provider seeking an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join a team of six engineers at a large commercial property and public space in Watford town centre.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong electrical background and commercial building maintenance experience, looking to join a stable, well-supported site with ongoing training and career progression.

Hours of Work:

• 40 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern:
  
  
  • 06:00–15:00
  • 09:00–18:00
    
    
• 1 week in 6 on-call rota
• One weekend in 6, falling during the on-call week, with 2 days off in lieu
• Overtime available
  
  

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
• Maintain lighting systems, including lamp replacement, fault-finding and minor installations.
• Complete emergency lighting and fire alarm testing.
• Maintain AHUs and FCUs, including filter changes and cleaning.
• Monitor the BMS and respond to building services issues.
• Carry out water treatment tasks and tap temperature checks.
• Maintain landlord services and associated building systems.
• Arrange and supervise specialist subcontractors.
• Keep maintenance reports, site logbooks and paperwork accurate and audit-ready.
• Liaise professionally with site management, occupiers and contractors.

• Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds qualification in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition qualification.
• Multi-skilled building maintenance experience.
• Proven experience within commercial building maintenance.
• Professional, presentable and confident working with clients and site teams.
• Hard-working, honest and reliable, with a proactive approach to maintenance.
