Electrical Day Shift Engineer

Electrical Maintenance Engineer – 4 on 4 off Days – Commercial Office – Liverpool Street, London – Up to £52,500 per annum 

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading FM service provider on a prestigious commercial office building in Liverpool Street, London.

The successful candidate will be electrically qualified (C&G / NVQ or equivalent) with a proven background in commercial building maintenance.

Working as part of a multi-skilled engineering team, you will carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, while also supporting with basic mechanical and general building services maintenance where required.

Hours of Work

• 4 on 4 off Days
• 7:00am – 7:00pm

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across all electrical building services
• Maintain and repair electrical systems including lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution and associated equipment
• Carry out electrical fault finding and diagnostics
• Test and maintain emergency lighting systems
• Carry out lamp, ballast, socket, switch and general electrical component replacements
• Assist with testing and maintenance of distribution boards, panels and electrical plant
• Monitor BMS systems and respond to electrical-related plant alarms where appropriate
• Carry out basic mechanical and general building services maintenance where required
• Escort and supervise specialist electrical and M&E subcontractors
• Ensure all works are completed in line with KPI and SLA requirements
• Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and on time
• Identify and report faults with building services equipment and take appropriate action
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety procedures
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client and site management team
• Remain flexible and assist with additional maintenance duties within your level of competence

• Electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Experience working within commercial building maintenance
• Strong knowledge of electrical building services
• Experience with lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution and electrical fault finding
• Basic mechanical knowledge would be advantageous
• Experience working in a critical environment is desirable
• Ability to provide copies of trade qualifications
• Proven track record in commercial maintenance
