Nursery Registered Manager
An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Nursery Registered Manager to manage a brand new nursery opening soon based in the Solihull, West Midlands area.
This is a senior leadership position requiring someone who can confidently manage every aspect of a busy nursery
This nursery is seeking an experienced, highly organised and hands-on Nursery Manager to take complete responsibility for the nursery's day-to-day management, quality of care, staffing, curriculum, safeguarding and regulatory compliance
As the Nursery Manager your key responsibilities include:
- Take full responsibility for the nursery's daily operation, ensuring a safe, welcoming and high-quality environment for children, families and staff
- Act as the nursery's Designated Safeguarding Lead, promoting a strong safeguarding culture and ensuring concerns are identified, managed and reported appropriately
- Recruit, lead, develop and retain a competent and qualified nursery team, promoting teamwork, accountability and continuous professional improvement
- Lead the delivery of a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, care and development across the nursery
- Ensure every child receives safe, respectful and individualised care, with their welfare, wellbeing and development at the heart of nursery practice
- Ensure children with special educational needs and disabilities receive appropriate, individualised support, working closely with families, the SENCO and relevant professionals
- Take day-to-day responsibility for health and safety throughout the nursery, ensuring robust risk management and a safe environment for children and staff
- Build professional, trusting relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed and working in partnership to support each child's development
- Oversee effective nursery administration and compliance, ensuring accurate records, statutory documentation and required notifications are maintained to a high standard
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
- At least two years' experience as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager or senior early year leader
- Strong knowledge of the current EYFS statutory framework and Ofsted requirements
- Experience leading a nursery team, including recruitment, rotas, supervision, training and staff performance
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, safer recruitment and referral procedures
- Experience of curriculum planning, observations, assessments and monitoring children's progress
- Strong leadership, communication, organisation and record-keeping skills

*To be considered for this position you must hold a Level 4 or higher early years or childcare qualification + Paediatric first-aid qualification + Early Years Teacher Status or a relevant degree

The successful Nursery Manager will receive an excellent salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.
This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 40 hours a week from 7am-7pm on Mon-Fri.
