Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Commercial Building – Covent Garden, London – £45,000

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join an established FM service provider based at a commercial building in Covent Garden.

Working alongside the existing maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the building's mechanical plant and associated building services.

The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical background and previous experience working within commercial building maintenance.

Hours of Work

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 – 17:00

• Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance.
• Monitoring and maintaining mechanical plant.
• Maintenance of pumps, motors, seals and bearings.
• Carrying out maintenance on AHUs and FCUs, including filter changes and cleaning.
• Completing water temperature checks and general water treatment duties.
• Carrying out plumbing repairs including blocked toilets, taps, washers and minor leaks.
• Monitoring the BMS and responding to plant faults.
• Carrying out basic electrical duties such as lamp changes.
• Completing general building fabric maintenance where required.
• Escorting and overseeing specialist subcontractors.
• Completing maintenance records and ensuring works are carried out safely and correctly.
• Liaising with the client and wider site team.

• £45,000 basic salary

• City & Guilds Level 2 Mechanical qualification – Essential
• Must be able to provide copies of relevant trade certificates.
• Proven experience within commercial building maintenance.
• Good knowledge of mechanical plant and building services.
• Multi-skilled with the ability to carry out basic electrical and fabric duties.
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a client-facing environment.
