Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Commercial Building – Westminster, London – Up to £47,000

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading FM service provider at a commercial building in Westminster, London.

The successful candidate will work as part of the onsite engineering team, carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the building's mechanical services.

This is a great opportunity for a mechanically qualified engineer with a solid background in commercial building maintenance who is looking for a stable position with plenty of overtime, further training and career progression.

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Friday
• Week 1: 06:00 – 15:00
• Week 2: 13:00 – 22:00
• 1 in 4 call-out rota
• £100 standby payment

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance.
• Monitoring and maintaining mechanical plant and equipment.
• Maintenance and fault finding on pumps, motors, seals and bearings.
• Maintaining AHUs and FCUs, including filter changes and cleaning.
• Carrying out water hygiene duties, including temperature checks.
• Completing general plumbing repairs including blocked toilets, taps, washers and associated components.
• Monitoring BMS systems and responding to plant faults.
• Carrying out basic electrical duties, including lamp changes.
• Completing general building fabric maintenance where required.
• Carrying out routine plant inspections and identifying potential faults.
• Escorting and supervising specialist subcontractors.
• Maintaining accurate PPM, reactive and compliance records.
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with site procedures.

• Basic salary up to £47,000

• City & Guilds Level 2 Mechanical qualification – Essential
• Proven experience within commercial building maintenance.
• Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
• Good knowledge of pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs and general mechanical plant.
• Multi-skilled approach with basic electrical and plumbing knowledge.
• Good communication and client-facing skills.
• Reliable and able to work effectively as part of an engineering team.
• Must be able to provide copies of relevant trade certificates.
