Electrical Maintenance Engineer (AP) – FM Service Provider - Commercial Building – Stratford, East London – up to £55,000 + Package

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join an established FM service provider at a commercial building in Stratford, East London.

This is a great opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer who already has HVAP experience or previous/expired HV authorisation and is looking to develop further within a critical building services environment.

The successful candidate will carry out planned and reactive maintenance while also acting as a key technical person for electrical shutdowns and critical maintenance activities.

The company is offering a salary of up to £55,000, plenty of overtime, full HVAP training and excellent opportunities for further career progression.

Hours of Work & Package:

• Basic salary up to £55,000
• Monday to Friday – 08:00 – 17:00
• 2–4 Saturdays per month, paid as overtime
• Plenty of additional overtime available

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across the building.
• Electrical fault finding, lighting repairs, lamp changes and small installation works.
• Carrying out emergency lighting testing and associated remedial works.
• Acting as the site's High Voltage Authorised Person (HVAP) once authorised.
• Managing and controlling HV operations in accordance with safe systems of work and company procedures.
• Supporting HV switching operations, permits and electrical shutdowns.
• Maintaining HV safety documentation and ensuring correct procedures are followed.
• Providing technical support and guidance to engineers and specialist contractors.
• Maintaining electrical control panels, power systems and associated equipment.
• Monitoring the BMS and responding to alarms and plant issues.
• Maintaining pumps, motors, chillers and pressurisation units.
• Carrying out general M&E and fabric maintenance where required.
• Maintaining accurate logbooks, compliance records and maintenance documentation.
• Identifying faults with building services equipment and taking appropriate action to resolve them.
• Supporting critical maintenance activities and planned shutdowns.
• Ensuring health & safety issues are identified, reported and escalated appropriately.
• Liaising with the client and site management regarding maintenance issues and service delivery.
• Escorting and supervising specialist subcontractors.
• Remaining flexible and supporting wider maintenance duties within personal competency.

• City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Previous or expired HVAP / HV Authorised Person experience.
• Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
• Proven background within commercial building maintenance.
• Experience working with critical electrical systems would be highly advantageous.
• Multi-skilled approach with a good understanding of wider building services.
• Confident working with clients, contractors and other engineers.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to provide copies of relevant trade certificates.
