Shift Maintenance Electrician (4 on/4 off) - Sunderland - Global Facilities Management Organisation: Data Centre

CBW Staffing Solutions are recruiting for a Shift Maintenance Electrician to join one of our key clients on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a critical data centre environment, supporting the operation and maintenance of essential building services and infrastructure.
 
The successful candidate will have a strong electrical maintenance background, ideally gained within critical environments such as data centres, hospitals or other high dependency facilities.

The role is based in Sunderland and operates on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, covering both day and night shifts.

Package:

• Competitive salary up to £41,000 per annum
• 13% shift allowance of £5,330 per annum, bringing total earnings to £46,330 per annum
• Additional £1,500 per annum upon attaining HVAP (High Voltage Authorised Person) status

• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues promptly
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and ensure the longevity of electrical equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions to restore functionality
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical components, such as wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate repairs and upgrades
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a secure working environment

• Qualified to at least City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• HV Authorised Person (HVAP) experience or willingness to work towards accreditation
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician or similar role within the facilities management industry
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuitry
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
• Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations
• Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints
• Must be able to pass a DBS check
