Electrical Maintenance Engineer Location: Elephant & Castle, South East London
Salary: Up to £45,000

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM – 17:00 PM

About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading FM service provider on a static commercial site in Elephant & Castle.

This role is ideal for a qualified electrical engineer with a strong background in commercial building maintenance who is looking for a fresh challenge within a stable environment, offering excellent training, overtime opportunities, and long-term career progression.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance, while also supporting wider building services across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the building

  • Fault finding, testing, and repair of electrical systems

  • Lighting maintenance, small installations, lamping, and ballast changes

  • Emergency lighting testing and compliance checks

  • Maintenance of control panels and associated systems

  • Monitoring and supporting BMS systems

  • Maintenance and fault finding on pumps and motors

  • Supporting general M&E maintenance where required

  • Maintaining and updating logbooks and compliance records

  • Responding promptly to breakdowns and reactive tasks

  • Delivering a high standard of client-facing service

  • Supporting minor electrical works and small projects

Package
  • Salary up to £45,000

  • Overtime available

  • 26 days holiday

  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

Requirements
  • Qualified Electrician – City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 or equivalent

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations desirable

  • Proven track record in commercial electrical maintenance

  • Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience

  • Multi-skilled knowledge advantageous

  • Good communication and client-facing skills

  • Able to provide copies of trade qualifications
