Electrical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Commercial Site – Reading, Berkshire – Up to £45,000 per annum

Exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based at a commercial site in Reading, Berkshire.

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to be part of an on-site maintenance team delivering high-quality building services.

The successful candidate will be electrically qualified (C&G / NVQ Level 2 & 3) with a solid understanding of building services.

This role is ideal for someone recently qualified who is looking to further develop their knowledge and practical experience within a commercial environment.

Hours of Work:

 - Monday to Friday (40-hour week)

 - 07:00 am – 16:00 pm / 08:00 am – 17:00 pm / 09:00 am – 18:00 pm


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and fabric systems
  • Maintain emergency lighting and fire alarm systems
  • Fault finding across electrical and building services systems
  • Monitor and operate BMS and electrical monitoring systems
  • Maintain HVAC systems, including AHUs, FCUs, humidifiers, and chillers
  • Work on VAV and FCU systems
  • Maintain domestic water services and carry out plumbing repairs
  • Service pumps, motors, and variable speed drives
  • Maintain gas boilers and hot water calorifiers
  • Carry out water treatment tasks in line with compliance standards
  • Complete general plumbing works including unblocking toilets and replacing taps
  • Undertake general building fabric maintenance

Package:
  • Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
  • 23 days holiday + bank holidays

  • Call-out rota: 1 in 4 (£105 per week)

Requirements:
  • Electrical qualification – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 & 3 (Essential)
  • Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
  • Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Legionella Awareness (L8 ACOP)
  • Multi-skilled with a good understanding of building services
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Additional mechanical or AC qualifications (desirable)
