Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – High-Profile Building – Chilton, Didcot – Up to £43,000 per annum + Package

Exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based at a high-profile building in Chilton, Didcot.

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based on a static site, delivering both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the building.

The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified (City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

Working as part of the on-site team, you will be responsible for maintaining the mechanical plant, as well as supporting basic electrical and general building services.

Hours of Work:

 - Monday to Friday
 - 08:00 am – 17:00 pm


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain the mechanical plant across the site
• Carry out plumbing works, including unblocking toilets, replacing taps and washers
• Maintain pumps, motors, seals, and bearings
• Service and maintain AHUs and FCUs (filter changes, cleaning)
• Perform water treatment tasks, including temperature checks (no dosing)
• Carry out basic electrical duties such as lamp changes
• Complete general building fabric maintenance
• Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors
• Carry out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations

• Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
• Call-out rota: 1 in 4 (£149 per week)
