Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Commercial Building – Westminster, London – £46,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based at a commercial building in Westminster, London.

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be part of an on-site maintenance team, carrying out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the building.

The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified (C&G / NVQ Level 2 or above) and have a proven track record within commercial building maintenance.

In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £46,000, plenty of overtime, and excellent opportunities for further training and career progression.


Hours of Work:

- Monday to Friday

Week 1: 06:00 am – 14:00 pm
Week 2: 14:00 pm – 22:00 pm


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the mechanical plant and equipment.
  • Monitor mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, seals, and bearings.
  • Maintain and service Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Fan Coil Units (FCUs) (filter changes, cleaning, basic maintenance).
  • Carry out water treatment checks, including temperature monitoring.
  • Undertake basic plumbing duties including unblocking toilets, replacing taps and washers.
  • Monitor and operate the BMS system to ensure the plant is functioning correctly.
  • Carry out basic electrical tasks such as lamp changes.
  • Complete general building fabric maintenance.
  • Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors on site.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in line with health & safety regulations and site procedures.

Package:
  • Salary: £46,000 per annum

Requirements:
  • Mechanically qualified – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 (Essential)
  • Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
  • Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Multi-skilled with a good understanding of building services
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
