Business Development Manager
Business Development Manager – Facilities Management / Drainage - Maidstone, Kent £55,000 per annum + Car Allowance
Full Time | Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm | Office Based An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing and ambitious organisation within the Facilities Management and Drainage sector.
This role is ideal for a driven and commercially focused individual with a proven track record of winning new business within FM or Drainage services.
You will play a key role in driving company growth while also maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the FM and/or Drainage sectors
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to negotiation and contract award
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Attend client meetings, site visits and networking events as required
- Prepare and present tailored proposals, quotations and tender submissions
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure smooth mobilisation of new contracts
- Account manage existing clients to maximise retention and identify upselling opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline reporting
- Proven Business Development experience within Facilities Management or Drainage services
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Commercially astute with strong relationship-building abilities
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits
- £55,000 basic salary
- Car allowance
