Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Electrical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Healthcare – Surrey – Up to £42,000 per annum – NO Call Out!

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to be based at a modern, state-of-the-art healthcare campus in Surrey.

This leading medical facility features multiple specialist departments and advanced equipment, providing a technically challenging and rewarding environment.

You will be joining a small, experienced team of three engineers who have an in-depth understanding of the site and will support you in settling into the role quickly.

The campus accommodates a large workforce and offers excellent on-site amenities, including multiple food outlets and comfortable break areas.

In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £42,000 per annum, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, overtime opportunities, on-site parking, further training, career progression and no call-out requirement.


Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday
08:00 am – 17:00 pm


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on hospital electrical systems.
  • Maintaining and fault-finding on power distribution, lighting systems, emergency power, and control systems.
  • Routine inspection and testing of switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, and electrical panels.
  • Maintaining and testing generators, UPS systems, and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
  • Responding promptly to electrical faults affecting critical areas such as operating theatres, ICU, and laboratories.
  • Supporting basic mechanical tasks, including reactive works on AHUs and FCUs.
  • Escorting subcontractors on site and reporting issues directly to the line manager.
  • Ensuring all logbooks, maintenance records, and compliance documentation are accurately updated.
  • Ensuring all electrical works comply with healthcare regulations, statutory requirements, and health & safety legislation.

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installations (or equivalent) – Essential
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Previous experience within a hospital, medical facility, or critical-care environment preferred
  • General knowledge of electrical systems within building services
  • HV or LV knowledge advantageous but not essential
  • Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
