The Job
Setting: Rural GP Practice and Multi Purpose Service with 2 ED beds, 4 Inpatient Acute Beds and 12 Residential Aged Care beds.
Hours: GP Practice 0900-1700, Hospital on-call 0800-2000
Rate: $2500 per day
Provisions: Travel and accommodation provided

Where you’ll be working
As the sole doctor for the primary care clinic, you will manage a steady workflow of 20–25 GP appointments per day using Best Practice software.

Your role extends into the emergency department with a weekday on-call component.

You will be the first point of contact after hours for all Triage 1–3 patients and any deteriorating inpatients.

In-person reviews for lower-acuity presentations during on-call hours are at your clinical discretion, however, your availability for consultation is required.

Requirements  

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural & Remote Medicine (FACRRM)
• Access to rebatable Medicare Provider number is required
