​Engineering Maintenance Supervisor

Engineering Maintenance Supervisor - Leading M&E Service Provider - Reading, Berkshire - £50,000 per annum 

CBW are currently recruiting for an M&E Maintenance Supervisor on behalf of a leading service provider, based at a high-profile commercial site.

The role is based within a modern, multi-use office facility housing several major tech-focused businesses.

The building is high-spec with well-equipped workspace and building services infrastructure.

As the site’s Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll lead the engineering team in delivering safe, compliant, and efficient operation and maintenance of all MEP assets.

You'll champion high service standards and a strong customer-first approach.

This position demands proven leadership, technical expertise, and a solid commitment to safety and compliance.

You’ll also represent the client at key meetings and promote a culture of professionalism across the team.

Hours of work:   

08:00am - 17:00pm - Monday - Friday 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all reactive and planned maintenance activities (PPM), ensuring delivery meets service level agreements and KPIs
  • Monitor and update CAFM systems accurately, ensuring data integrity and performance tracking
  • Lead audits and inspections of assets and compliance documentation, including condition surveys
  • Manage small works and remedial tasks from initial identification through to completion
  • Ensure compliance with statutory legislation, health & safety regulations, and internal procedures
  • Maintain current COSHH records, risk assessments, and site documentation
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring quality and safety standards are upheld
  • Liaise with the client, internal teams, and stakeholders, attending meetings as required
  • Support health & safety objectives by chairing or contributing to monthly site safety meetings
  • Provide technical support and act as a point of escalation during emergency situations
  • Oversee the grounds maintenance team
  • Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota, ensuring continuity of service during evenings, weekends, and holidays
Applicants for the role must be able to meet the following criteria:
  • Fully electrically or mechanically qualified to C&G,HNC/HND Level
  • Experience of working around critical systems and plant
  • Experience of supervising engineering staff
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong compliance and health and safety understanding
  • Experience of working in commercial hard services FM environment
  • Full driving licence
