Shift Engineer

Shift Engineer – 4 on 4 off shift - Commercial building – Heathrow, Greater London – £45,000 Per annum

Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM Property company based in London.

CBW is currently recruiting for a shift engineer to be based at a commercial building in Heathrow.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified mechanical engineer or electrical engineer with a proven track record in commercial/property building maintenance, and be able to turn their hand to a variety of maintenance tasks.

He or she will be required to carry out mechanical/electrical planned and reactive maintenance across this large commercial building.

Working with the maintenance team on site.

He or she will be required to have an understanding/hands-on experience of the below.

Package & Hours of Work

  • £45,000
  • 4 on 4 off days and nights 06:00 - 18:00 / 18:00 - 06:00

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, etc)
  • Emergency lighting tests
  • Changing Ballast
  • BMS System - Monitor (i.e.

    Hot & cold)
  • Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
  • Maintain and update Log books
  • Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
  • Pumps, motors
  • Water flushing / temp checks logs
  • Boosted water pumps
  • Ensure that the Contractual efficiently meets all the relevant KPI & SLA requirements.
  • Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
  • Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
  • Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
  • Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
  • Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
  • Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.
 

Requirements

  • Electrically or mechanically qualified - Level 2 or 3 (C&G, NVQ, EAL ect)
  • Experience working in a large commercial building
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Multi-skilled
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent customer skills
  • Must be able to get to the site for 07:00 am start
