Electrical Shift Engineer

Shift Engineer – FM Provider - Moorgate, London - up to £52k  Location: Moorgate, London
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights – 7am to 7pm / 7pm to 7am)
Salary: Up to £52,000 per annum + Excellent Benefits

Are you a skilled M&E Engineer with experience in critical environments? We’re hiring a Shift Engineer to join our dedicated team at a high-profile, business-critical site in Moorgate.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, technically demanding setting with top-tier plant and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site.
  
  
• Operate, maintain, and fault-find on critical plant systems, including:
  
  
• Generators and other building services infrastructure
  
  
• Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, CRAC units
  
  
• HV/LV distribution
  
  
• UPS systems
  
  
• Ensure all M&E services are maintained to high standards of safety and compliance.
  
  
• Respond swiftly and effectively to building management system (BMS) alarms and breakdowns.
  
  
• Work collaboratively with subcontractors and in-house teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  
  
• Maintain accurate records of all work completed and ensure compliance with site procedures.
  
  

• Proven experience in building services maintenance, ideally in a critical environment (e.g., data centres, financial institutions, hospitals).
  
  
• HV or LV experience is desirable (authorised person status beneficial).
  
  
• Strong knowledge of UPS systems and M&E equipment.
  
  
• Recognised qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ).
  
  
• Proactive, professional, and safety-conscious approach.
