CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based on a Government contract in Westminster carrying out planned and reactive building maintenance.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in M&E building maintenance.
 
This position would be ideal for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer currently in a similar position who is keen on progression.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Must have proven experience in planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Primary responsibility includes working on mechanical systems such as plumbing, air conditioning, and pressure systems.
• Assist the team with building fabric and electrical systems as needed.
• Perform maintenance on various assets by following a PPM schedule and ensuring compliance efficiently and flexibly.
• Manage reactive maintenance tasks from diagnosis to sourcing parts and completion.
• Act as the first line of response for reactive call-outs, ensuring safe work practices and adherence to Approved Codes of Practice.
• Collaborate with various parties, including specialist subcontractors, to deliver high-quality work.
• Demonstrate awareness and adherence to best working practices at all times.

• City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ in plumbing (preferred)
• City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ in mechanical engineering
• Previous experience and knowledge of building services
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
• Strong ability to work independently and take initiative
• Full, clean driving license
• Ability to collaborate effectively with various individuals
• Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain CTC clearance
