Energy and Sustainability Assesor (SAP & SBEM)

This organization specializes in Energy and Sustainability requirements, Part L Building Regulations compliance, Consultancy, and CPD training, ensuring their projects consistently align with the latest energy efficiency standards and regulations.
Role Overview
We are seeking an OCDEA and OCNDEA SAP & SBEM Assessor to join this dynamic team.
In this role, you will evaluate the energy performance of new residential buildings during the construction phase.
Your work will play a key role in ensuring compliance with building regulations and sustainability standards, while also providing actionable recommendations and preparing essential documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct On-Construction Domestic and Non-Domestic Energy Assessments (SAP evaluations).
- Ensure projects comply with Part L Building Regulations and sustainability benchmarks.
- Provide expert advice and practical recommendations for energy performance improvements.
- Prepare and deliver detailed reports to clients.
Qualifications
- Preferred Degree: Environmental Science, Engineering, or Architecture.
- Certifications: OCDEA SAP Assessor certification from an accredited body (e.g., Elmhurst Certification or equivalent).
- Proven experience conducting energy assessments in the construction sector is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of energy and sustainability requirements and Building Regulations compliance.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
Skills Required
- Analytical Excellence: Strong problem-solving abilities with great attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client engagement and reporting.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with SAP and SBEM calculation software.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of current UK building regulations related to energy efficiency.
