Parenting Assessment Social Worker

Sirona Medical are working with a Family Resource Service offering parenting assessments by a registered social worker in a manner consistent with guidance in Working Together to Safeguard Children (DFE, 2015).
The centre provide an independent service which offers a robust, far and evidence-based assessments in respect of children and their families. 

There are 2 positions available.

Sawbridgeworth and North London.

Job Role: Due to the nature of this vacancy there is a need for the successful applicants to be in the assessment home five days a week Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm, there is some opportunities when needing to write court reports that you will be allowed to work from home with the managers permission

Sirona Medical will be providing the Social Worker on an permanent contract. 

You need to have:

  • A qualification in social work i.e.

    Dipsw, MSc, CQSW, and CSS.
  • Registration with the HCPC as a social worker.
  • Substantial experience as a qualified social worker.
  • Knowledge of Children Social Care
  • Good evidence based recording skills, as your evidence maybe required to be used in court.
  • Excellent assessment skills
    • The assessments the centre provide are:
    • Parenting assessments (residential and/or community based)
    • Court assessments
      Viability assessments
    • Reunification with birth family
    • Pre-birth and new parent assessments
    • Psychological assessment
