PR Account Manager

This role is the engine at the heart of the Media & Communications team bringing imagination, inspiration and an abundance of energy.   You will first and foremost deliver media excellence, showcasing our clients.

PRIMARY FUNCTION      

  • Deliver high-quality Earned results - taking responsibility to meet/exceed client KPIs
  • Build strong personal media, influencer & content creator contacts and continually build network across food, drink and travel
  • Effective storytelling and writing skills for Earned coverage Compelling, creative press assets for clients that deliver relevant stories and messaging that resonate with media 
  • The distribution of press materials, pitching and selling-in of stories
  • Work closely with Client Team to ensure all relevant client information and updates are shared, ensuring you have sight of client goals and manage Client Team expectations, regularly communicating work
SECONDARY FUNCTION
  • Give solid media and communications advice to clients directly and to the Client Team.
  • Cite great ideas, reference competitor work, have a thorough understanding of media
  • Demonstrate strong media and influencer relationships, push back when angles aren’t strong enough and suggest builds and/or alternatives
  • Build strong relationships with clients, leading Client communications on proactive and reactive media and influencer opportunities (in person at meetings or over calls/emails)
  • Proactively source opportunities for clients, their stories and their spokespeople
  • Work closely with the Client Team to shape plans specifically around creative ideas and media – ensuring ideas are robust for media cut through
  • Regularly review client coverage to spot potential gaps in media support and address accordingly

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Create media briefing documents for clients and brief spokespeople for interviews
  • Support Client Team on crises and issues where appropriate, with Q&A and statement drafting 
  • Provide media intel and creative media input for new business proposals
  • Support drafting entry submissions for PR/ brand/ marketing industry awards for clients
  • Management of internal media lists & databases to ensure kept up to date
  • Deliver high quality media and influencer attendance at new openings and events 
  • Responsible for coverage monitoring, measuring and sharing in a timely and compelling manner that sells the result to clients
  • Fulfil reactive journalist requests promptly to ensure H&C are seen as responsive, reliable go-tos by media
  • Join AA/Client brainstorms to bring media trends to the table and make creative suggestions for media and influencer angles
