Electrician - High Voltage - Lancashire - Salary £45,000 - £49,000 DOE

CBW has a new opportunity for a high voltage electrician to join an established FM company on a permanent basis.

The sucessful candidate willl provide electrical and building
services maintenance to commercial buildings.

This will include electrical bias fault finding, repairs, maintenance, and installation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repairs overhead and underground distribution systems, including transformers, circuit interrupters, reclosers, capacitors, voltage regulators, medium voltage switches, utility poles, and supporting hardware.
• Replace and install medium voltage overhead and underground electrical circuits and terminations.
• Fabricate and install a variety of components including but not limited to duct banks, cable runs, concrete pads for electrical equipment, risers, transformer banks, and low voltage electrical panels.
• Inspect overhead and underground distribution systems, tests, and documents findings.
• Responds to emergency calls and takes necessary actions.
• Provide on the job training to apprentices.
• Operate a variety of testing, calibration and repair devices, tools and equipment including voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, insulation resistance testers, high potential test sets, circuit breaker testers, etc.
• Complete maintenance and repair records as required. 

Person Specification:

• C&G 2382 -BS7671 IEE Wiring regulation (Current Edition)
• C&G 2391 Test & Inspection (Current Edition)
• External High Voltage Authorised Persons Qualification
• IOSH Managing Safely
• First Aid (Include Resuscitation)
• Safety and safe working practices pertaining to High Voltage electrical work, including ensuring clearances, and working on energized lines and equipment.
• Significant experience in providing High Voltage electrical building services maintenance to include fault finding, maintenance, installation, and inspection/testing.
