Salary: £40 - 50K

Job Purpose Summary:
CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Fire Door Project Manager for a leading Fire & Security company.

The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently and profitably schedule and dispatch Fire Door Fitters to complete both minor and major projects.

This includes ensuring projects are carried out in line with the agreed scope of works, customer requirements, and industry standards.

The role requires excellent customer service and management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

You will need to work proactively and interact with all departments within the business to ensure that we consistently exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Collaboration: Work closely with your manager to support the fire door installation team and production teams to meet customer expectations, ensuring high-quality communication with both customers and colleagues.
  • Client Meetings: Attend meetings with clients onsite and on Teams as required.
  • Schedule Management: Review the work schedule daily, providing proactive responses to customers with preliminary attendance dates and updates.

    Ensure accurate data and planning for forecasting and reporting.
  • Monitor Engineers: Proactively monitor the engineers’ activities to maintain workflow and arrange solutions to any problems or delays, while keeping clients updated.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong working relationships with fitters, production teams, and account managers to ensure projects are completed to the highest standard and exceed customer expectations.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control and performance reviews of fire door fitters.
  • Stock & Material Management: Oversee stock control and material ordering for live and upcoming projects.
  • Performance & Reporting: Review job performance and margins with your manager, assisting with monthly reporting.
  • Communication: Retrieve project phone and email messages and respond promptly and proactively to both external customers and internal colleagues.
  • Industry Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of relevant standards, such as BS 476-22, BS 8214, as well as global test data and third-party UKAS schemes (e.g., IFC, BM-Trada, Firas, Bluesky, LCPB).
  • Booking & Scheduling: Book works with sites in accordance with customer and site requirements, keeping the client up to date with work progress and any changes to specifications or schedules.
  • Order & Invoice Processing: Ensure all work is completed on time to allow invoicing, and ensure invoices are processed upon completion.
  • KPI & SLA Maintenance: Maintain company and client KPIs, ensuring adherence to client SLAs.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

  • A driven and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a challenging environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Passive Fire industry, including engineering projects across single and multiple site locations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fire door projects with the ability to demonstrate technical expertise.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
