Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Shift Engineer - (Continental shift) - Victoria - Up to £48,000   My client is looking for an Electrical Shift Engineer to be based in a commercial building in Victoria, London.

A successful candidate will be electrically or mechanically biased (C&G / NVQ).

Working with the maintenance team.

He or she will be required to carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance across the landlord and tenant areas of the high rise commercial building.

In return, the company offers a competitive salary of £48,000, further training and career progression.




Hours of work

  • The shift pattern is Continental days and nights
  • 07:00 - 19:00 / 19:00 - 07:00
  • Plenty of Overtime
  • 20 Days Shift Holiday
Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, Changing ballast's, Control panel, Power distribution)
  • Emergency lighting
  • Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
  • Chillers - Re-set
  • Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
  • Monitor mechanical plant
  • Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
  • Pumps, motors
  • Water Treatment
  • BMS System - Monitor (i.e.

    Hot & Colds)
  • Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
  • Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
  • Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
  • Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
  • Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
  • Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.
  • Be fully aware of relevant Health and Safety and general legislative matters.

Requirements

  • City & Guilds - Level 2 & 3 Electrical
  • City & Guilds - 17th or 18th Edition
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • An understanding of critical plant: UPS system, Generators, Control panel, Power Distribution, Chillers, HVAC
  • Multi-skilled
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent customer skills
