Shift Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider - Healthcare Environment – 4on 4off (Days & Nights) - West London - £42,000 + OT
CBW Staffing Solutions is excited to present an excellent opportunity for a Shift Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established building services company based in London.

This role is based at a state-of-the-art clinical research facility in Hammersmith, West London, where you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of the building's systems.

Working with a team of four engineers, you will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, collaborating closely with a skilled on-site team and reporting to a senior engineer.

This is a hands-on role that offers a dynamic work environment where you’ll be contributing to the upkeep of important systems within a Healthcare setting.

  The successful applicant should have a strong grasp of Facilities Maintenance and hands-on experience in building maintenance.

Hours of work

Shift pattern - 4on 4off  Days & Nights - 07:00am to 19:00pm & 19:00pm to 07:00am   Key duties & Responsibilities   Carry out PPM, Reactive or first line response to the following;

  • Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
  • Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers
  • BMS System - Monitor (i.e.

    Hot & cold)
  • Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
  • Maintain and update Logbooks
  • Working to Planned Preventative and Reactive maintenance regimes
  • Changing taps/washers 
  • Install and replace hot water cylinders, pipework, Boilers, Temperature check the repair and servicing of mechanical & electrical (M&E) equipment

Requirements  
  • Completion of a recognised Mechanical industry qualification preferably an apprenticeship.(i.e.

    C&G, NVQ)
  • Previous experience working in a similar working environment or building maintenance role is essential.
  • Must have good customer facing skills to include an understanding of customer related issues.
  • Have an understanding of HVAC & mechanical plant workloads and issues.
  • Good and broad knowledge of health and safety.
  • Ideally Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS office system/BMS.
  • Healthcare experience would be highly desirable (Not essential)
  • Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
