Principal Programme Manager - Defra Metal Mines

About You
Do you want to lead on the delivery of environmental solutions to remediate the legacy of England's abandoned metal mines?
Are you looking for a new role with environmental protection at its core?
Are you experienced in project / programme management and able to lead and direct a growing mine water treatment programme?

To help you succeed you will have;
A proven record of delivering environmental projects from conception to build as part of a larger programme of works.
An ability to manage and prioritise a high-volume workload and multiple projects.
 
Experience of managing internal teams, consultants and contractors through the NEC suite of contracts.
 
Experience of managing a complex programme with budgets exceeding £5-10m.

About The Role
Acting as the Coal Authority representative for planning and delivery of DEFRA Projects (including Assurance and Governance) and the Programme (including inputting to / leading on the development of Programme Budgets, Strategies and Plans).
 
Leading the internal delivery of the Coal Authority DEFRA Programme, undertaking line management and a senior project delivery role (e.g.

on Project Boards as Project Executive or Senior User).
 
Managing key internal / external stakeholder relationships with DEFRA and delivery partners at the Environment Agency.
 
Role location: Mansfield/Hybrid
