The Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take ownership of key project responsibilities, applying your technical knowledge to deliver high-quality building services design solutions from concept through to completion.

What You'll Be Doing

• Delivering innovative building services design solutions across a variety of projects.
• Designing HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation and mechanical systems.
• Producing engineering calculations, reports, specifications and technical documentation.
• Coordinating designs with architects, structural engineers and wider project teams.
• Supporting projects through all design stages, from feasibility to construction.
• Applying sustainable design principles and low-carbon engineering solutions.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant UK regulations, standards and industry best practice.
• Contributing technical expertise to complex and challenging engineering projects.

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within the building services sector.
• Strong knowledge of building services design and mechanical engineering principles.
• Experience delivering mechanical designs for complex building projects.
• Proficiency in relevant design and calculation software.
• Understanding of UK building regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered status or progression towards Chartership would be advantageous.
