Mixed Semi Senior

Mixed Semi Senior | Letchworth | £28,000 – £36,000 | Permanent A long-established, progressive accountancy practice is looking for a Mixed Semi Senior to take on a varied client portfolio and step up into more responsibility.

The work is largely general accounts for owner-managed businesses and individuals, with some tax alongside, and you will have real support and a clear route to Senior.

This is a role for someone who wants variety, not a single production line.

You will deal with clients directly, see jobs through from start to finish and be trusted to manage your own deadlines, with a friendly team around you and Partners who are easy to reach.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing year-end accounts and supporting working papers for a mixed portfolio of clients
• Handling tax computations and returns for individuals and small companies
• Reviewing the work of junior colleagues and helping them develop
• Dealing with clients by phone, email and in person, and keeping them informed
• Keeping on top of your own workload and deadlines

• Previous practice experience in accounts preparation, with some exposure to tax
• AAT qualified or part-qualified (ACA or ACCA)
• Confident with accounting and tax software (cloud packages a plus)
• A tidy, organised approach and good communication skills
• Reasonable commuting distance of Letchworth (roughly 45 minutes)

• Salary £28,000 – £36,000, depending on experience
