The Role

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions across multiple projects from concept through to completion.
You will play a key role in client engagement, technical decision-making and multidisciplinary project coordination while supporting the development of junior engineers within the team.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical building services design projects through all RIBA stages
• Design low-voltage power distribution systems
• Produce lighting, emergency lighting and small power designs
• Prepare specifications, reports and technical calculations
• Coordinate designs with Mechanical, Structural and Architectural teams
• Attend client, design team and site meetings
• Ensure compliance with BS7671, Building Regulations and industry best practice
• Review and supervise technical drawings and project deliverables
• Mentor and support junior Electrical Design Engineers
• Manage project deadlines and deliver high-quality engineering solutions

• Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer within Building Services
• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Strong knowledge of electrical building services design
• Experience with software including Revit, AutoCAD, Amtech, Dialux or Relux
• Understanding of power distribution, lighting design and building regulations
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver work to agreed programmes
