Job Title: Class 1 Night Driver (Trunking)

Pay Rate: £19.04 - £21.34p/h  (£19.04 basic + £2.30 holiday pay = £21.34 total)
Shifts: Monday to Friday - Night Shifts 20:00 start time
Licence Type: Class 1 - C+E
Experience: 12 months experience essential

The Role
As a Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities may include:
  • Driving a Class 1 vehicle 
  • 1–2 return trunking runs between Wetherby and Sunderland each night.
  • Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
  • Delivering goods safely, professionally and on time
  • Following all Road Transport, Working Time Directive and Driver Hours regulations
  • Completing all relevant paperwork and electronic records accurately

What We're Looking For
We are looking for candidates that have good timekeeping, a strong understanding of road transport regulations and a safety-focused approach to driving.
You should be able to work independently, communicate effectively with the transport team and complete deliveries efficiently.

To be considered for this role, you will need:
 
  • A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
  • A minimum of 12 months commercial Class 1 driving experience
  • A valid UK Driver CPC qualification (DCPC)
  • A valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • A good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
Our client may accept up to 6 penalty points, however applications with DD, DR, CD, IN or TT endorsements cannot be accepted.

Applicants must be UK residents and able to travel to and from the site independently.
