The Opportunity

We're seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a respected multidisciplinary consultancy delivering technically complex projects across the life sciences, healthcare, education and commercial sectors.
Based in Cambridge, you'll play a key role in the design and delivery of cutting-edge developments, working closely with clients and project teams to create sustainable, high-performing building services solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design of building services systems including LV distribution, lighting and standby power.
• Deliver project designs from concept through to construction.
• Prepare calculations, specifications and technical reports.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams and external stakeholders.
• Manage project deliverables, quality and programme requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and commissioning activities.

• Degree qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer within a Building Services Consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare, laboratory, commercial or education projects.
• Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, DIALux and Amtech/Trimble ProDesign.
• Working towards or holding IEng/CEng status.
