We are working with a secondary school in Tonbridge who are looking to appoint a confident and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team on a full-time maternity cover.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher who enjoys teaching Maths through to GCSE level and wants to join a school where they can make a real impact in the classroom.
The school is looking for someone who can step confidently into the role, deliver high-quality lessons and build strong relationships with students.

You will be joining an established Maths team and will be supported throughout the placement.
About the role

• Full-time Maths teaching position
• Maternity cover starting in October 2026
• Teaching Maths through to GCSE
• Planning and delivering engaging, challenging and well-structured lessons
• Monitoring and assessing student progress
• Supporting students to develop confidence and achieve strong outcomes
• Maintaining high expectations of behaviour, effort and achievement
• Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department

• Have QTS or recognised UK teaching experience
• Have a strong background in secondary Maths
• Are confident teaching through to GCSE
• Have excellent subject knowledge
• Set high expectations for students
• Can deliver engaging lessons that challenge and support students of different abilities
• Have strong classroom management skills
• Enjoy working collaboratively within a department
• Are committed to helping students achieve their full potential
