Semi Senior Accountant | Milton Keynes | Competitive Salary (up to 35k DOE)

The role You’ll work with a broad portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SMEs, supporting senior team members while taking ownership of your own workload.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing year-end accounts for a range of SME clients
• Assisting with corporation tax and self-assessment work
• Completing reconciliations across VAT, payroll, payables and receivables
• Producing accurate working papers and supporting schedules
• Using cloud accounting software, including Xero
• Supporting client queries and helping build strong day-to-day relationships
• Assisting on more complex assignments as your experience develops

• 3+ years’ experience within an accountancy practice
• AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified, or actively studying
• Experience preparing accounts for SME clients
• Good cloud software knowledge, ideally Xero
• Strong attention to detail and a well-organised approach
• Good communication skills and a genuine desire to keep developing
