Consultant Emergency Medicine

  • Work in a 43-bed Emergency Department with approximately 45,000 presentations annually.

Where you’ll be working
You will be part of a busy, well-supported emergency department within a major regional referral hospital, managing a broad and complex case mix across trauma, paediatrics, mental health, and acute medical presentations.

The department is staffed by a collaborative and experienced FACEM group, with access to comprehensive inpatient services including intensive care and advanced cardiac care.

This is an ACEM-accredited site offering structured registrar training, providing strong opportunities to contribute to education, clinical governance, research, and ongoing service development.

Salary
Base salary starts from $216,300 – $310,389 per annum, with an additional 12% superannuation and allowances such as professional development, private practice participation, motor vehicle allowance, relocation support, and salary packaging benefits. 

The estimated total package starts from approximately $484,000 per annum, with potential for higher earnings depending on level of seniority and applicable allowances.

Requirements  

Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent.
