Class 2 Driver

Job Title: Class 2 Driver (Working in a 2 person crew completing Home Deliveries)
Location: Bristol (Avonmouth)
Pay Rates: £16.75 to £25.12 p/h
Shifts: 
Rotating 3 week rota

  • Week 1 - Monday - Thursday
  • Week 2 - Wednesday - Saturday
  • Week 3 - Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat
Start times:  05:00/06:00
Experience: Minimum 12 months experience driving commercially
Licence Type: Class 2

Ignition Driver Recruitment are looking for Class 2 Drivers in Bristol to work with our client, who is the UK's leading Logistics & Distribution organisations for a leading DIY and homeware retailer.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Driving a Class 2 (Cat C) vehicle 
  • Multi-drop Deliveries
  • Working in a 2 person crew
  • Delivering to Customer Homes
    • Heavy lifting (delivering beds and sofas)
  • Vehicle checks and the usual paperwork
As this is a customer facing role, we are looking for people who are clean and tidy and have the ability to deal with different types of people. 

About you:
You must have your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially.

You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. 

As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations and maintain your own compliance requirements and you will be required to complete a Drug & Alcohol test and also a driving assessment. 

You must be a UK resident (we are unable to assist people with VISAs or relocation) and have the relevant Right To Work documentation.
